Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the resounding victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar is an indication that a pro-people, pro-governance, and pro-development approach has been established as the new foundation of politics in the country.

Speaking at the party headquarters, he said the results had ensured that “jungle raj” [lawlessness] would never return to Bihar. The BJP, together with the people of West Bengal, would now uproot the “jungle raj” in that State as well, he said.
