SALT LAKE CITY — A member of BYU’s men’s basketball team was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly driving under the influence.
According to a press release from the Provo Police Department, officers responded to a crash at the intersection of 900 West Center St. at approximately 11:45 a.m.
While responding to the crash, officers “found reason” to arrest one of the drivers, 20-year-old Kennard Davis, for “suspected DUI.” Davis is a player on BYU’s men’s basketball team .
After this, Davis was taken to the Provo Police Station, where he was cited with DUI charges.
He was then released to receive medical care for minor injuries he sustained during the crash. His car has been impounded.
