A pet green iguana named Godzilla that’s been missing since summertime was recently found and rescued from atop a pylon on the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.

Rob Rector of the nonprofit Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute was contacted last week by Heidi Lowe, of Heidi Lowe jewelry gallery at 119 First St. in Lewes, he said. She asked if he could help with an iguana that had been sitting on a pylon in the canal behind her shop for over 24 hours.
