BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - An Indiana National Guardsman is dead, and three others were injured in a crash in central Indiana on Friday.
According to authorities in Boone County, the crash happened around 12:15 p.m. on southbound I-65, near I-865, and involved one Humvee and two civilian vehicles.
According to the National Guard spokesperson, the guardsmen were traveling in a convoy, headed to drill at Camp Atterbury.
They say there were two Humvees in the convoy, including one with a trailer. The Humvee without a trailer rolled and ejected the four soldiers in it.
More information is set to be provided after the loved ones of the guardsmen involved have been notified.
