Hamblen County Schools and Eight Hamblen County Schools were recognized at Tuesday night’s Board of Education Meeting in the Heritage Room of the Central Office.
The Tennessee Department of Education’s Tennessee Support Center recognized the District and the eight schools as “Change Makers” Award winners.
The award recognized the progress the District has made with their systems for academics and behavior. Hamblen County received the award as a system.
The eight schools receiving the award include John Hay Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Lincoln Heights Elementary, Lincoln Heights Middle, Meadowview Middle, Morristown-Hamblen High School East, West Elementary and Witt Elementary.
