ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Roseburg Fire Department will conduct a live fire training exercise on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 859 West Lookingglass Road.
RFD officials said that the exercise will begin at approximately 8 a.m. and continue throughout the day. This joint training involves Central Douglas County Fire & Rescue and Lookingglass Rural Fire District. It's designed to enhance interoperability and provide real-world experience in a controlled setting. Residents may notice smoke and flames, but these are part of the supervised exercise. Increased noise levels and air quality concerns are also anticipated, so those with sensitivities are advised to keep windows closed.
The Roseburg Fire Department emphasizes safety and requests the public to avoid the training area.
