Children in Need presenter Paddy McGuiness joked about "getting rid" of his co-host after a "pint-sized" disagreement.

Things kicked off in style on Friday night (November 14) as Children in Need returned to BBC for another year of fundraising on behalf of important causes.

Children in Need introduced themselves in the style of The Simpsons as viewers across the country tuned into help support the appeal.

The first sketch of the night was The Apprentice, with Lord Alan Sugar taking on a boardroom of kids as he came under fire for a change.

Viewers were in for a jam-packed night of sketches such as EastEnders , Strictly Come Dancing and Gladiators.

It was back in 1980 that the first BBC Children in Need telethon was broadcast.
