LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Students at Lincoln Southeast High School are rallying for a good cause.

Two years ago, the high school’s Feminist Club partnered with the Friendship Home by hosting a drive for items needed at the facility.

This year, the club is selling friendship bracelets and purple ribbons to help raise funds and awareness.

The Friendship Home provides support services and shelter for those experiencing domestic violence.

“I feel like domestic violence isn’t talked about enough,” said club member Orabella Gotschall. “A lot of people are aware that it happens, but they don’t want to share their stories because they don’t feel safe, and it’s important to bring awareness to it.”
