Road off I-235 exit closed due to water main break

Drivers exiting Interstate 235 in the Waveland Park neighborhood may have to find alternative routes due to a water main break.

A the break has closed 56th Street between Kingman Boulevard and I-235 near the Waveland Golf Course, according to a 3 p.m. news release from the Des Moines Police Department on Friday, Nov. 14. Lanes will reopen as crews repair the break.

63rd Street and 42nd Street are the nearest alternative exits, officials said.
