Akron Planning Commission votes 5-0 in favor of Amazon's proposal to build a facility at the site of the former Akron Baptist Temple in Kenmore.

Supporters of the proposal include Councilwoman Tina Boyes, whose ward includes the site and a Kenmore resident and ironworker who has worked on Amazon facilities before.

Other neighbors of the site raised concerns about stormwater and light from semi trucks.

Amazon 's proposal to build a sub same-day fulfillment center at the site of the former Akron Baptist Temple and The Word Church will head to Akron City Council, although some nearby residents still have misgivings.
