Some flights at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) are forced into a ground stop because of an obstruction near the runways, officials said.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued the ground stop because it was reported that there was a ship in the Delaware River that was blocking the view as pilots were approaching the PHL runways, according to a spokesperson with the airport.

PHL says that only arriving flights are dealing with the ground stop.

Departing flights are not impacted, officials said.
