WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KKTV) - The Woodland Park Police Department (WPPD) said a woman was arrested Thursday morning after attempting to steal from a Walmart on Highway 24.
WPPD said the woman, identified as Aimee Fooshee, and an unidentified male entered the Walmart around 9 a.m. and attempted to steal a “significant” amount of items from the store.
According to police, Fooshee was arrested after a struggle with officers.
They said the male had run from the scene during the struggle and was not immediately found.
Charges are pending against the male, but police said Fooshee is facing charges of second-degree assault on a peace officer, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and theft.
Fooshee was taken to the Teller County Jail and is being held on a $21,500 b
