OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office experienced a 911 call service outage on Friday afternoon, and other agencies stepped in to help.
Officials say all 911 and non-emergency phone lines are currently down in Marion County. If you need emergency assistance, text 911 from a mobile device. Do not call.
The Combined Communications Center in Alachua County assisted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Ocala Police Department by receiving all of their calls.
As a result, non-emergency calls in Alachua County may be delayed as the call center assists Marion County.
