Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a police officer for United Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and former Westmoreland County chief of police has been charged with felony drug-dealing and possession of a stolen AR-style rifle, according to a news release.

Eric Doutt, who was charged in two Pennsylvania counties, was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver for selling cocaine on multiple occasions while under police surveillance.

Doutt was also charged with receiving stolen property and possessing a stolen firearm regarding an AR-style rifle found during a search of his home. The rifle was to be destroyed, but he took possession instead, intending to return it to its original owner.
