Michigan State basketball just made a huge addition to its next recruiting class.

Ethan Taylor, a 2026 five-star center from Link Academy in Missouri, announced his commitment to the Spartans on Friday afternoon. He picked Michigan State over his other finalists – Oregon, Kansas, Indiana and Oklahoma – and gives coach Tom Izzo a centerpiece to a standout class.

“I think it was a pretty easy choice,” Taylor said during his commitment announcement on CBS Sports. “Coach Izzo was very, very hard on me during the recruiting process, he recruited me very hard. I think I heard from him the most out of any head coach and the fan base is just insane. On my visit, I was hearing chants and I was crowd surfing, it was crazy.”
