CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that a person died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street Friday evening.

The incident occurred on Atwood Avenue.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle was cooperating and the crash was under investigation.
