Speaking at the inauguration of the 72nd All India Cooperative Week at NCUI headquarters, Vice-President Bijendra Singh-who presided over the meeting-said that while individuals may not become Ambani, Adani or Tata, collective strength through cooperatives can surpass large corporates.
Explaining the power of cooperatives in simple terms, Bijendra said that when hundreds and thousands of people work together under a cooperative behemoth, a vast pool of human resources, funds and skills is created at one place.
Leveraging these for the benefit of all-and not for one-is the true spirit of cooperation, he noted. An old hand at the sector, Bijendra has earlier headed both NAFED and NCCF.
