The trophy-hunting minister of forestry and parks is now stating that “all options are on the table” for managing the province’s grizzly bear population — including lifting the 20-year ban on hunting.

Todd Loewen is in charge of what the province calls “wildlife stewardship,” which includes regulatory decisions about hunting, trapping and fishing. He is also in the business of trophy hunting with deep ties to the U.S. hunt industry.
