The Sudbury Wolves warned fans this weekend about email scammers who are attempting to impersonate the OHL team in order to obtain sensitive personal and financial information from recipients.
“We are writing to you today with an urgent and important message regarding a potential security concern that may affect members of our community,” the Wolves said in an email to fans.
“It has come to our attention that a phishing email scam is currently circulating, attempting to impersonate the Sudbury Wolves organization, team members, or staff. These fraudulent emails may look legitimate and often ask for sensitive information, personal details, or financial credentials.
