D.C. police arrested a 17-year-old on Friday for a late October shooting that left five people injured near Howard University's campus.
It's the first arrest made in the case since the weekend of the shooting, when a gunman opened fire near Howard during the school's homecoming celebrations.

Two other people were arrested on Oct. 24, the night of the shooting, and charged with carrying a pistol without a license — but police said further investigation showed they were not involved in the shooting that night.
The shooting injured three adult men, one adult woman and a juvenile male. Police found the victims in the 600 block of Howard Place NW, after hearing gunshots just before 8:30 p.m. that evening.
