Georgia House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor Greene, once one of Donald Trump’s closest allies during his re-election bid, has accused the US President of fuelling death threats against her.

In a social media post on Saturday, she said she was now facing the “world’s most powerful man" and receiving hate driven by the very “man she helped get elected".

The 51-year-old Republican congresswoman, who had long been a standard-bearer of Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, recently fell out with the President over her demands to release the “Epstein Files", a set of unreleased documents related to American financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s network.
