WASHINGTON — The US Secret Service arrested a man on Saturday who they say was fighting with a protester outside the White House.
Organizers from Refuse Fascism had said they would target the White House for protests this weekend. Last week, thousands demonstrated against the administration in DC.
Secret Service officials say the man – who they have not identified – was not involved in the protests.
He was charged with simple assault after being taken into custody around 3:15 p.m.
When they were responding to the scene, officers closed down the area on Pennsylvania Avenue.
