MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Farmers’ Market launched its first Holiday Farmers’ Market of the season on Saturday at Monona Terrace.
This marks the beginning of five indoor markets scheduled through November and December. Shoppers eagerly entered Exhibition Hall B to explore seasonal produce, baked goods, cheeses, gifts, and other local items.
“So today we have our first holiday farmers market of the season. We're open until noon today, and then five Saturdays in December and November,” said Hannah Henriksen, the market assistant.
She emphasized that the indoor market offers the same experience as the outdoor market on the Square, with an equal number of vendors.
“Like I said, there's 70 vendors here today, so it's actually the same as on the square last week,” Henriksen said.
