A man wanted in an Atlanta bank robbery is in custody after a multi-agency investigation of fraud, the Sweetwater Police Department said.
Officers recovered more than $15,000 in cash, fraudulent checks, as well as fake identifications used in identity thefts and frauds.
The department says detectives started working with the Vonore Police Department on investigating a bank fraud case, involving "incidents" that occurred between Thursday, November 6 and Saturday, November 8.
Officers identified a suspect and a vehicle, then shared information with surrounding agencies.
The Blount County Sheriff's Office was the first to find the car with three people inside. After a brief foot chase of one man named Marvin Jenkins, deputies took all three into custody.
