New Mexico leaned on its defense to score a 20-17 win over Colorado State in front of an announced crowd of 27,526 on Saturday at University Stadium.

The Lobos (7-3, 4-2) have now won four straight and clinched a winning record, both for the first time since 2016. UNM’s hopes for a Mountain West Championship appearance also remain intact.
