First responders pulled a swimmer from the water near Lock One in Pearl River on Saturday.

The person went under water and did not resurface, according to St. Tammany Parish spokesperson Michael Vinsanau.

First responders pulled the person from the water, performed CPR and rushed them to Slidell Memorial Hospital, Vinsanau said.

Information about the person's age, gender or condition was not available Saturday afternoon.
