Delhi woke up to another day of a thick layer of smog as pollution levels remained severely alarming on Saturday. The city recorded an AQI of 419 at 9 am, placing it in the ‘hazardous’ category, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
One of the most striking visuals of the morning was at India Gate, where the iconic monument was barely visible. The entire stretch was covered by a thick cloud of smog, making it impossible to see the structure from even a short distance. The AQI in the area was recorded at 369.
Visuals from Rajghat and ITO also showed dense haze hanging low over the roads.
