Tennessee beats up on New Mexico State 42-9

Joey Aguilar threw for 204 yards and a touchdown and added a 27-yard scoring run, helping No. 21 Tennessee pull away for a 42-9 victory over New Mexico State on Saturday.

Aguilar extended his streak of 200-yard passing games to 10 with a 7-yard completion early in the fourth quarter, though his afternoon included two first-half interceptions.

The App State transfer finished with 126 passing yards before halftime, including a 15-yard TD strike to Braylon Staley as the Volunteers (7-3) built a 21-3 lead.
