KILLEEN, Texas — A year after opening its first store in Copperas Cove , Otakutopolis has expanded into the Killeen Mall, bringing even more anime and pop-culture merchandise to fans across Central Texas.
The shop bills itself as “an anime lover’s dream,” offering items such as T-shirts, figurines, backpacks, plush toys, posters, accessories and manga. Supervisor Jose Mendoza said the new location opened last week and has already seen steady support.
“We sell T-shirts, figures, backpacks — anything a cool anime kid would like to have,” Mendoza said. “It’s been fantastic. Good customers, really friendly — both in Cove and here.”
Mendoza said the Killeen Mall was a strategic choice due to its foot traffic and the region’s large military community.
