ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Three people were rescued from the balcony of a two-story building after firefighters responded around 5:20 p.m. Saturday to a fire at 919 Galeras St. NW, an Albuquerque Fire Rescue news release said.
AFR crews worked to put out the fire, which was mostly on the second floor. Other AFR personnel were able to bring down the people from the balcony, and they were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The fire was under control within minutes.
The Red Cross came to the scene to help, but the seven people displaced by the fire said they would be able to stay with family members.
AFR investigators have not yet found out what caused the fire.
