Several parts of the national capital were shrouded in thick smog on Sunday morning as Delhi recorded an AQI of 385, classified as very poor. The reading showed almost no change from Saturday morning’s 386.
A heavy layer of haze covered India Gate, leaving the monument barely visible as morning joggers and walkers tried to continue with their daily routine. Rajghat and ITO registered an AQI of 417, placing both locations in the severe category, according to data shared by the Central Pollution Control Board.
Anand Vihar, Alipur and Ashok Vihar also reported AQI levels between 400 and 415. Chandni Chowk recorded one of the worst figures at 420, while Dwarka stood at 378. At Dhaula Kuan, motorists drove through low visibility conditions as the area recorded an AQI of 338.
