Georgia football didn’t officially lock up a spot in the College Football Playoff by knocking off Texas in their prime-time clash, but the Bulldogs came pretty close.
The 35-10 victory in Sanford Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 15, moved Georgia to 9-1 on the season.
The No. 5 Bulldogs could absorb a second loss and still be in great shape for the playoff.
They play 1-9 Charlotte, one of the worst FBS teams, next week before playing No. 12 Georgia Tech in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Nov. 28.
ESPN gave Georgia a 99% chance to make the CFP with a win over Texas.
“We don’t really look at those type of things,” safety KJ Bolden said. “We try to take it week by week. We’re worried about Charlotte right now.”
