Firebirds fall behind early, can't catch Bakersfield in 6

Just days after blowing out the Bakersfield Condors at home, the Coachella Valley Firebirds found the road much less accommodating.

Despite a hat trick by Jagger Firkus, the Firebirds fell to Bakersfield 6-3 Saturday. The loss dropped Coachella Valley to 6-5-2-0 for the season and snapped the Firebirds' run of four consecutive games with at least one point. Bakersfield improved to 6-5-3-0 for the season.
