A North East IT security consultancy has been picked by the police to become the new system provider for a cyber threat detection service.
Durham-based Waterstons provides technology-based solutions to help global businesses improve their performance, having been launched in 1994 by Sally and Mike Waterston. The firm - which also has bases in the London, Glasgow and Sydney, Australia - has now been awarded the contract to become the new system provider for Police CyberAlarm.
The National Cybercrime Team selected Waterstons following a competitive commercial tender process. Police CyberAlarm is a Home Office funded cyber threat detection service, offered free of charge to organisations across the UK.
