A new clear favourite has emerged in the race to become the next Middlesbrough manager, with Swiss coach Raphael Wicky becoming the odds-on leader.
Boro are examining all their options after Edwards opted to leave Teesside for Wolves last week, a move which has drawn criticism from many quarters.
The club are believed to have held talks with big-name candidates in recent days as they look to make an appointment before Boro return to Championship action against Oxford United next week, although they will not rush into any decision.
