Welcome to our live coverage of Middlesbrough's search for a next manager.

Boro are still searching for their replacing for Rob Edwards , who left the Riverside earlier this week to take on the vacancy at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Edwards left the club despite signing a contract until 2028 back in the summer, with the 42-year-old guiding Boro to second place in the Championship table before his departure.

A host of names have already been linked with taking the Boro manager's job over the last few days, including Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Michael Carrick.

Former Aston Villa and Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has also emerged as a potential candidate, while there have also been reports that former Wolves manager Gary O'Neil may also be in the running.
