Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) put his name all over the record books and joined the two-division champion club courtesy of a lopsided unanimous decision over Della Maddalena (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) at Madison Square Garden in New York.
With a new leader of the weight class, which is rapidly evolving with existing and new contenders eager to challenger Makhachev for the belt.
