In recent weeks, German authorities — working with partners across Europe and with crucial intelligence support from Israel — disrupted a sophisticated Hamas-linked plot to carry out targeted assassinations against Jewish and Israeli civilians in Berlin and other cities. Five suspects were arrested in Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and at the Czech border. Weapons included an AK-47 , eight Glock pistols, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. No attack occurred. Prevention was successful because democratic states took the threat seriously, cooperated deeply, and shared intelligence without hesitation — including with Israel, whose early warnings were indispensable.
