BOISE, Idaho — A donated evergreen from a southeast Boise neighborhood will make its way downtown Monday morning, marking the start of the city's holiday season celebrations.

According to Boise Park and Recreation, the Community Forestry team will transport the 2025 holiday tree to Grove Plaza on Nov. 17, with assistance from the Boise Police Department. The move is scheduled to take place throughout the morning hours.

Once the evergreen arrives at its destination, crews will adorn it with festive decorations in preparation for the community celebration.

The Downtown Boise Holiday Tree Lighting is at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at the Grove Plaza.
