A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was tragically found dead in a boat yard.

The woman's body was discovered at Netpool Boat Yard, in Cardigan, west Wales at around midday yesterday (Saturday, November 15)

Police launched a murder investigation and have now arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at this time to be questioned.

Officers cordoned off the slipway near the River Teifi throughout the day, with multiple police vehicles and crime scene investigators in attendance, WalesOnline reports.

Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the area from around 9pm on Thursday to come forward as their investigation continues.
