NEW ORLEANS — Two people are dead after a shooting at the corner of Johnson and Canal streets in New Orleans’ Tulane-Gravier neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of North Johnson Street shortly before 3:30 p.m. and found two people with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics pronounced both victims dead at the scene, police said.
The coroner will release their identities once their autopsies are complete and next of kin have been notified.
