Heart-pounding bodycam footage captures the moment good Samaritans jumped into action to pull a badly injured Atlanta cop from his burning patrol car — as his own gun started firing from the heat.
Atlanta Police Officer Malik Safi was on his way to assist a fellow cop at 10:22 p.m. Oct. 20 when he lost control of his squad car and slammed into a house, with the vehicle bursting into flames, according to dramatic video released by the department over the weekend.
That’s when brothers Ryan Beck and Kashun Robinson ran over with a couple of other neighbors to pull Safi to safety — even ducking bullets after the flames began discharging ammo from one of the cop’s guns inside the car, according to police.
