Landman season 2 premiere's surprise death just changed Tommy Norris' (Billy Bob Thornton) life. Picking up weeks after Landman season 1's finale , Landman 's second season kicks off of Tommy backing Cami Miller (Demi Moore) as she tries to reassure M-Tex's partners and investors as the oil company's sole owner.

The death of Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) is still fresh in Cami and Tommy's minds at the start of Landman season 2. Monty's passing left Tommy as M-Tex's new President, and the former landman is busier than ever.

Of course, Tommy's wife, Angela (Ali Larter), daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), and prodigal son, Cooper (Jacob Lofland), only add to Tommy's plethora of worries.
