NEW DELHI: The NIA has arrested a Kashmiri resident who had conspired with suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi to carry out the suicide blast at Red Fort last Monday. Amir Rashid Ali, a resident of Samboora, Pampore, in whose name the car involved in the attack was registered, was arrested in Delhi. "Amir had come to Delhi to facilitate the purchase of the car, which was eventually used as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED) to trigger the blast," the NIA said. The NIA also confirmed on Sunday that it had forensically established the identity of the deceased driver of the vehicle-borne IED as Umar Un Nabi, a resident of Pulwama district who worked as an assistant professor in general medicine department in Al Falah University at Faridabad.
