Street vendors held a protest in front of the Mangaluru City Corporation on Monday, condemning what they described as a unilateral crackdown on vendors operating near Kadri Park.

They demanded that authorities allow street vending in the Kadri Park area and withdraw the ban on street vending along Airport Road.

Addressing the protestors, Sunil Kumar Bajal criticised officials for failing to provide any solution even a month after the eviction drive, calling the action unfair and one-sided.

About a month ago, officials had cleared the makeshift stalls and sheds put up by vendors near Kadri Park, triggering widespread dissatisfaction among the affected traders.
