Flooding is expected to continue over the next few days in parts of Gloucestershire as levels within the River Severn continue to rise.

The Environment Agency (EA) issued four flood warnings affecting areas near the River Severn in Gloucestershire, as well as additional warnings along the river in Worcestershire.

The EA stated that despite rainfall from Storm Claudia easing, river levels are expected to rise and cause flooding.

Flooding is expected to affect properties and roads around the river.

A warning has been issued to motorists not to drive through floodwater.

EA said: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
