CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting in west Charlotte.

It happened at the Microtel Inn on Queen City Drive, near I-85 and Billy Graham Parkway around 3 a.m. Monday morning.

Medic confirmed one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

We are working to learn what led up to the shooting.
