CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - Governor Joe Lombardo’s crime bill has passed out of the Assembly.
Lawmakers cast their ballots on Sunday, and the Safe Streets and Neighborhoods Act passed by a vote of 31-11, with only Democrats in opposition.
The bill increases penalties for DUI drivers who kill and for certain kinds of burglaries.
It also allows Clark County to revive a defunct court that dealt with crimes on the strip, and an amendment clarifying that accessing another individual’s social media account could be cyberstalking.
