Past iterations of the Iron Bowl have certainly carried more weight and intrigue than what we are expecting to see in 2025 between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers, but with rivalry games, you have to throw out the record.
There are a lot of great rivalries in college football, but the Iron Bowl might be at the top of the list, with the Crimson Tide and Tigers having a passionate hatred for each other spanning decades. In total, Alabama is 51-37-1 in the series, with wins in the past five meetings.
It was announced on Monday that the game this year, played on Saturday, November 29, will kick off at 6:30 p.m. EST, and be aired on ABC.
The Crimson Tide is coming off its second loss of the season, falling to the Oklahoma Sooners at home on Saturday night. This removed all room for error in the College Football Playoff conversation, and while they will be favored in their remaining games against Eastern Illinois and Auburn, a loss will knock them out of the postseason discussion.
