MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A mother and daughter are behind bars, accused of trying to kill the daughter’s boyfriend.

The victim told police that the two picked him up from a tire shop on Thursday and stopped in the area of Riverport and Plant Roads, near McKellar Lake.

They allegedly told him to get out of the car, and the younger woman stabbed him several times with a knife.

He was stabbed a total of 16 times and had a punctured lung from the assault.

The victim told police as it was happening, the woman’s mother said he was being stabbed for what he did to her youngest daughter.

The man told police he did not know what they were talking about as he had not done anything to her youngest daughter.

After the alleged assault, the two left the scene.
